Connections and Adventures

We've spent the last 2 days visiting with some of Steven's family and friends.  Our first visit was with his grandmother's close friends, the Brooks.  They were wonderful people and took us to Baltimore's Little Italy for lunch.  We then went on a driving tour of the city.  Federal Hill was a very cool little neighborhood that overlooks the harbor.  What once was old row houses has become a rejuvenated area for the young and hip in Baltimore.  (yes, I just said young and hip.  i think this makes me old and not creative).
Yesterday we went to Washington D.C. to visit  Steven's aunt and uncle and their granddaughter.  We took the train down from Baltimore.  A quick 45 minute trip.  The picture below is of Union Station in D.C.  Another beautiful train station.  While we didn't get to do the touristy stuff, we did have a nice visit.  The connections will continue today when we have lunch with a friend and dinner with Steven's best man and his family.  Tomorrow will bring brunch with another friend.  All in all, good times in Baltimore.
